JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Business Consultant – SCM Solution – (Shanghai, China)
Company: Top ERP/SCM firm, a leading provider of innovative supply chain management, merchandising and pricing excellence solutions worldwide
Major Responsibilities:
- Assists Project Managers in planning efforts
- Support COMPANY solution positioning activities by providing specialist input into presentations and proposals
- Provides advice to customers regarding industry best practices and process methodology
- Work with local account teams, apply specific experience to architecting solutions for clients
- Ability to prepare and deliver presentations for user, management, and executive level audiences
- Conducts/leads business process analysis or design/construction phase of the project that leads to writing functional specifications
- Develops functional specifications for modifications, interfaces, reports and screens that meet the customers’ business objectives and are of sound design
- Ensures knowledge transfer is conducted with key customer project team
- Is a thought leader in their Product Solution area of focus and is able to apply that knowledge to customer situations
- Recognizes and highlights incremental revenue opportunities with existing customers / projects.
- Serves as a functional liaison and contributes to communication between Project Manager, key customer contacts, and customer users, up to and including key executive project sponsors
- Understands how the COMPANY solutions within area of focus can be configured and delivered to better facilitate customer business processes (ensuring ability to design, execute, and deliver)
- Helps to develop and deliver consulting services in the Supply Chain Management domain mainly focus in Supply Chain Planning
- Develops and executes test scripts to ensure COMPANY software consistently meets the customer’s business objectives
Knowledge/Skills Preferred/Required:
- Bachelor’s degree and above
- Minimum of 5 years Application/Solution implementation experiences
- Minimum of 3 years project experiences in Supply Chain Management areas
- Strong Supply Chain Management domain knowledge and experiences in Sales and Operation Planning
- Ability to interact with customer’s executive and act as a trusted advisor
- Solid project experience in architecting multiple-module solutions
- Ability to independently engage with customers in business requirement and solution discussion workshops
- Hi-Tech and electronics industry domain knowledge is preferred
- Ability to organize solution architecture team and facilitate solution design/implementation activities.
- Good skills in problem solving
- Excellent communication skills at various level of client organization
- Fluency in English and Mandarin
- Be willing to travel as business needs
- Be able to work under pressure and meet tight project delivery schedule
- SCM or Logistics or ERP implementation experiences would also be preferred
- Willing to travel with short notice and may necessitate extended stays away from the home office
